A poem by Joanne Kitchener this was sent to ubProud and I thought I would bring it here for you to read
GRANDDAD
Granddad you taught me right from wrong
But you never judge me anyway,
You love me for who I am
And what I have become,
You light up the room with your dazzling shirts
And your dazzling smile,
You have the best sense of humour,
Even when you are in pain.
You are my world, my shining star,
You like to watch the horses,
Or read your books,
Often with a sherbet lemon in your mouth,
You make me laugh, even when I am sad,
You never forget to say,
'Mind that cart road',
As I leave your house.
I am sad right now,
I love my Granddad so much,
So keep fighting,
To the world you are just another person
But to me you are my Granddad,
A friend, the Universe.
