I know I am a moderator at Esnips but I am coming to the end of my rope with the spamming And after many complaints from members and despite admin deleting accounts it is a losing battle .

I think the top management are not taking the problem seriously enough and the only thing I can think of is a petition to get there attention
They told us they would install Captcha and that was many week's ago so I am asking you to vote for faster action before we lose all our members

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me send money.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kapo was a prisoner who worked inside concentration camps during World War II in some lower administrative position (prisoner-functionary). The German word also means "foreman" and "non-commissioned officer", and is derived from French for "Corporal" (fr:Caporal) or the Italian word capo. Kapos received more privileges than normal prisoners, towards whom they were often brutal. They were often convicts who were offered this work in exchange for a reduced sentence or parole, however they were usually murdered and replaced with a new batch of prisoners at regular intervals.

NOT that you are brutal Ian, Kapo would be a better term than moderator. You are interred here with us, and suppose to keep us happy, if not docile. But you kapos are seen by us peons as the bureaucrats between us and the admin, a sort of shield, a mollifier. That wouldn't be bad if this was an outstanding service.. but as it is.. kapo fits indeed. Its hard to soar like an eagle when you flock with turkeys. I look forward to the day you quit and be just like the rest of us helpless snippys.

You've done a fantastic job for absolutely no good reason upholding a corrupt admin.

Good idea Ian it's about time to raise our voices a little.

I noticed it's trendy among the administration to ignore user complaints.

We were asked on eSnips blog "What new applications do you want on eSnips", and I think it should be "Which issues you want us to fix" Because there are many if you ask me, message management, spam issues, uploading problems to name a few.

And IMHO, in this past 2 years the only improvement eSnips team made is increasing our file pockets from 1GB to 5, but everything else went crappier, so to say. But I still love to be here and saying all this to be heard and make eSnips a better place I think eSnips developers develop too much I mean this place is overloaded with all sorts of gadgets, It might be not too bad, but it should be properly organised.

So it might be a good idea to stop developing and sort out the mess once in a while.

I urge something to be done about this.

It's annoying to have to constantly delete this crap.

I don't use ringtones, cell phones anyway .... can't see the damn phones, let alone try and key anything on them and for lumps of plastic they charge far too much.

I'd also vote for Captcha... please get it as soon as possible or what Admin can do is to block any attempts to leave a message that contains ringtone or contents as these spam guys are leaving... I know its hard but not difficult to fight. We at our network do a lot of such things to keep our network clean and friendly for our users
