esnips wont let me upload any new mixs......to private or public folder says it copyrighted they are not grrrrr this is the same shit happening again with my mixs......sorry ppl u wont be seeing the 2 mixs i promised.

this is indeed a real pain in the b@tt and I feel sorry for this.
Me and a lot of other people love to hear your mixes.

This problem also occured to me this week but, because I was collaborating
with another person we had to upload concepts first in our private collab folder and after 2 times also our work, though originally created by us, was recognized as "copyrighted".

The only solution so far what worked to finally upload our final version, was to rename/change the name of the file and completely change the ID tags of the file.

I have a question for you: did you in your new mixes use parts of songs which you have used in your work before??

Here is some more info and a little advice mentioned by another user Fluxliner:

SUSPECTED COPYRIGHT AUD MAGIC

Audible Magic scans your mp3, then creates a digital fingerprint that represents the "essence" of your song
(this is why a simple filename change is not enough: It's about the essence and not the outer shell.
MP3-Tag changes don't work either). Then it compares it against all the digital fingerprints of copyrighted
songs that are in the Audible Magic Database. If the fingerprint of your song matches any of those copyrighted
songs to a certain degree, then the program "assumes" that your track is a copy of this particular song.
But since the Database of Audible Magic cannot contain infinite fingerprint-variants for each song,
a simple re-encode of your track with LAME at a variable bitrate like -V0, -V1 or -V2
(I recommend winLAME for encoding or the All2Lame-Frontend, but then you will need the Codec)
should be enough to solve the problem. I know it worked for me. (by this I mean, of course,
that you should encode the wav again and not decode and then re-encode your mp3).
Sure, it's a drag that I have to go to such lenghts just in order to upload my OWN material.
But thats just the way it is.

Don't forget that Esnips has to use Audible Magic (or something similar)
in order to protect themselves against (future) lawsuits.

Finally:

what is the ideal bitrate to upload songs:

We don't really want to commit to a number because it's subject to change, but 256kbps or lower is ideal, and one important thing that a lot of people mess up, surprisingly, is the sample rate. Flash is picky about
what it will play, so the sample rate *must* be 44.1k. For some people a
lot of people encode at 48kbps, and those always fail to play.

Toni which method of upload are you using? Also at what speed? I use 192 KPS and have no problem uploading using the firefox esnips toolbar.

i am using esnips toolbar an i keep gettin copyrights crap i have 3 new mixs i want to ad but it wont let me on my desktop or laptop computers....i am ready to give up on esnips again this is why i stoped before uploading my mixs.....i will try once again then if it don t work i just post a link......toni
