Just started a photoblog if anyone wants to take a look

The what is a photo blah balh still raging i notice. Other sites like ik seem to have it sussed as to categories, and perhaps ensipers could take a look at it. Artists, photographers, cartoonists share the site, and all clearly defined. i use them aswell as photobox.

I agree. & I also hate it when people claim other people's work as their own. It just makes me feel so angry. Photography's a hobby of mine and whatever I take, I never manipulate in editing programs.

I, too, agree - only REAL ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS need to be posted here. Manipulated photos and art needs to be posted in the appropriate folders!!

Unless you are an underground fan, you never hear artists like that on the radio. In reality, people have been brainwashed into thinking that what they hear on the radio is hip-hop. It falls terribly short of hip-hop, and may not be worthy of being called rap. Since 1995, we have seen a trend in the implementation of R&B into hip-hop music. The problem with that is it has dilluted the music. Commercial artists like Jay Z, for example, know that the dough will roll in if Blackstreet does the hook for one of his tracks that he, as stated earlier, only writes a couple versus to. Money now controls hip-hop instead of the artists controlling it, and label execs have become more powerful in determining how an artist’s music will sound. This explains the increase in the number of independent labels because artists have discovered that they lose creative control over their music when they sign on with major labels.

My first folder was labeled as photos, but it only had one photo in it. Now that folder contains something entirely different and although I cannot change the folder listing, I did change the display title.

There are probably many users like myself that don't really have an organizational plan in mind when they join eSnips. Therefore, as time goes on the items they upload into a folder wind up being different than the labels created when the folder was first made.

Where are all the Photographers? I joined the Community (and several others) and yet on my homepage there is not one member listed in several of the communities I've joined.. including Photography. And All the stuff I uploaded with the photograph tag never got listed here...
Not whining mind you.. I'm too apathetic for that LOL.

The Animation "community" is just as ..... (fill in the blank) as you guys here if not worse.

Hi Tiger.... and everyone else. I'd like to make a few comments that I hope will encourage all of you, to keep posting your own good photos.

AND... if you see or know of a photo that is taken from the internet, it's possibly copyrighted. When I see photos that aren't originals or if I even wonder about them... I try to contact the user to see which photos are thiers and which are placed here for entertainment purposes.

As for the photo community. I hope to have that changed soon! If you'll note, I've been featuring actual photos, rather than the .gifs, etc. that used to be featured. And again... if any of you have reason to suspect that I may have gone amiss, with a featured picture... let me know. Privately message me!! Try to send a link to where the pic originally came from. I am trying to get original works up on top so each of you can get the attention you deserve. If you look to the top right of the photo community, you can click on my name and go to my profile page, where you can message me.

Unfortunately, the way the posting system works, is that if you post at one time, then another user comes in and floods the photo section with dozens of their "works", yours will probably fade away into not being seen. And I've no clue as to what are the best hours for publishing. With people posting from all over the globe, I don't know if there's any particular good time.

To get your photos seen... encourage others to post just a few images at a time, rather than a ton of them per day. That'll get more people on the community pages.

Esnips is working on getting another community moderator! I won't name the person yet, but they are very involved with the gifs, graphics and animated photos. I'm hoping we can work together in getting images featured where they belong.

I still need to work some things out with esnips administrators as to the removal of "wrong" images and folders, from the photo community. I have that ability now... but... I am unclear that if I make certain users disappear from photography community... if they'll be hidden elsewhere.
I don't want that to happen for anyone. I have a very strong sense of fairness and am keeping a detailed listing of who is featured, which photo, date, etc.

Given time, I think things will work out well in each community, but it WILL take time. Try to have patience and keep posting your original works.

One thing... adding a photo to your favorites list... that'll offer me more choices in what I can feature. When choosing features, I look at all the pages of the "new" photos, then at all the pages of the "recently favorited" photos. From those two locations, is where the daily feature will come from. I also, go into that person's folders and try to be certain that the photo is an original. If I'm in doubt, it won't be featured.

You all can help me, but talking to all your photo "friends" and getting everyone in the habit of labelling their photos or folders as ORIGINAL or not. See what I mean?

As for cropping or even adding motion effects to an original photo, still is an actual photo. Go look in my folders... animated pics by Heather and Terry Gill. But... I still haven't listed them as photos... I think I have changed all lables to animated.

And for an FYI ... I'll not be featuring any of my own photos. It's not important to me. If anyone happens into my folders and likes what I do enough to leave a comment...then I'm happy. I wan't YOU folks to be featured.

We will get it done, by working as a team. Encourage your friends and co-photographers, to tag properly and lable properly "original" photos.

Hi Tiger... well.. as for Photos, I still am not seeing you on any of the pages I have access to, to do my featuring of original photos, in the Photography community. But, I'll keep an eye open.

We are talking about tagging issues and blocking certain users from communities where their non-photograps, etc. are showing up and sometimes "hogging" the scene... taking away from those who are posting ORIGINAL PHOTOS of their own.

I'm not sure which direction the discussion will take or end. But, just to let everyone know, almost every community is showing some form of abuse and content completely NOT related to those communities. It may take some time, but we are trying to come up with a plan that will be fair to everyone.

And... I don't think I had anything to do with your folders or work, suddenly showing up. I wish I could accept the honor, but sorry, I can't.

Oh..Tiger... by the way... I went to your profile page and looked through ALL your folders. Be danged if there isn't a one that doesn't show up fine.

If you're concerned about them not showing up in the main community pages or most favorited, esnips changed how the listings come up there. I think under favorite photographers, etc, the ones most recently favorited show up and not necessarily in the order of who has the MOST friends.

I think it's like that in all the communities.

Anyway... your folders and images are all where they ought to be, near as I can tell.

Your .gifs etc. shouldnt be marked as photography anyway. But we are trying to get a special community set up for .gifs. Not sure when or IF that'll come to pass... but we're brown nosing the admin best we can.
