literary arts, musical arts, performing arts, arts and crafts, cooking arts, liberal arts, heck! even martial arts, the world is full of arts, the world itself is art something intricately created, there's art in peace, art in war, art in harmony, there's art in chaos, there's art in nature, humans are a work of art, who says this is a digital age? if you paint, continue on painting, if you do the digital thing, do it, if you do them both, that's great, you're expanding your knowledge, learning is an art form and aren't we constantly learning?

Life, sometimes deals an artist a severe blow to the tools used to create non digital art. I can't paint, draw or play my drums anymore due to some serious problems with my hands. To lose the ability to use my hands has always been my biggest fear. Well now my fear is reality. I have carpul tunnel severly in both hands. I had a tumor removed from my right hand less than a year ago and now have authoritis in both hands. HA!, But I can still write and play drums on the computer. I can still do paintings, graphics, designs and manipulate photos on my computer. For this, I am happy and am STILL an artist no matter what.
I don't use a Wacom digital drawing pen, all stuff created using the mouse and key board. Since holding a brush, pencil, drumsticks makes my hands numb and in pain, I found a different way to create my art. After all, no way could I let 30 years of being an artist go down the drain.
I believe that artistic drive and the love of being creative should be able to be expressed by any possible means, whether it be on real canvas or the computer.
