I have already posted a message for Lonnie, and I got answer she'd pass it on to the right department. So I guess we just have to wait and see, but still, we can all join in on the creative part, and find the solution:

wow I am glad I stumbled upon this topic. I was wondering maybe it would be possible to have a designated public Folder for everyone to upload there mix set into or place a Hyper link to thier file, like an option in the DJ community.This of corse would have to get the Esnips admidistrators to add this feature. We also need to set a dead-line for each contest session. Give people a two week deadline for uploading there mix and then start another contest every two weeks, or maybe we can do it monthly. Also, we should have every one on esnips be the judge, being that we really cant designate certain people to judge, it might turn out Bias and unfair. Again we do have to get the Network administraters of Esnips to give us a hand and make this a new feature in the DJ community. They could have ratings next to the files, 1-10 and then avrage them out at the deadline time. Who ever has the highest ratings wins. Also u must be loged on in order to vote and only one vote per contest. What do you think fellas?

I guess there should be more than enough info and tips here to get this started. All we need, is a go from eSnips....

Well we have to get more of us involved in the forum. Ok we know what we would like now how do we get the contest to benefit esnips. In all fairness I think there should something in it for the website.

If the mixes entered in the contest are good quality, well, then there is one selling point. The public know where to find good stuff....
Remember, this doesn't just have to be a dj contest. This is very easily transfered to the other communities here on eSnips (photografy, animation, lyric, text, graphic).

eSnips also benefits from us spreading the good word, where we store our stuff online, where the public can get access to our stuff. eSnips can get a sponsor, that can hand out prizes....(if we really need prizes)
eSnips will get generated traffic to their site threw places like my blog....where I write about my music, and put links there to my eSnips page... There are probably many other ways eSnips can benefit, that haven't been mentioned just yet...

Jam those are good ideas, I like the sponsors and prize aspect. Kush records is sponsoring a dj contest on djnicalvarados website. Hmm let me get back to you on that I have an idea, I will ask around when I make my weekly promo pick ups. ESNIPS ADMINISTRATORS ARE YOU GUYS LISTENING!!!!! LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED.

Ian no worries it did not backfire I was just having a laugh with you. Yes I do flirt with Lonnie but she always ignores the flirtatious aspect of of my posts.She is one of the best forum moderators I have ever encountered.
