Also it is easy enough to spoof the IP and mac adresses of a single PC countless times and get the same result. Hell if knows what he is doing they can create a damn bot to do it at intervals automatically. No worries if they need that it bad it would be a hollow victory everyone knows shit from sugar.

I see your point. Yes it is possible to manipulate the vote, no matter what. But I think we have to sit this one out to see how it turns out. The voting has only just begun, and we have over a week left, so I think we should calm down, and see what happens.

The voting system as it is, seems pretty good. It's so easy, that people who wouldn't vote, because they needed to register, well, they are more likely to vote.

What I'd like to suggest, is when this Spin Off is finished, we could evaluate. Maybe hear what the eSnips staff thinks. If we learn from our mistakes, we will get better!

Jams got a good point, on the learning by experience thing..it is after all the 1st...contest and we do indeed have a week or so to go for votes to come in, however.....Mike has just hit the nail on the head...with his "everyone knows shit from sugar" comment...spot on mate ...spot ....on! One thing is sure:

This competition isn't about who is Dj or artist or who did some special.

It's about:
1. eSnips get more traffic
2. and to clear up who can MANAGE itself better!!!

Quality, creativity doesn't count too much

Simply:
The DJ with the biggest number of friends + Lot of Links = Winner !!!

Recommendation for the next Djs Spin-Off:

From the uploaded mixes an independent Dj jury select out the 20 (or 30) most worthwhile tracks, and then vote to them the folk.
