Oh Lee.. you took Dale's comment out of context... a typical christian maneuver. He wasn't asking for the same old christian dogma, anybody can find tons of that stuff. He was asking for links to thoughtful OPPOSING views on theology, without quotes from "holy" books. Please read the entire message and not just pick out the parts you like, like I KNOW you do with the Bible.. really... sigh.

Leahu,

Apparently you didn't even visit the links. Both of those articles are written by former atheists. The DoesGodExist.com one is a guy who only recently retired as a professor at the University of Indiana. He taught biology and he has a masters in chemistry and a few other things. He's a scientist and doesn't really mention the Bible much at all on his site. He simply demonstrates scientific, logical proof for the existence of a creator.

It's a pity your closed mind won't look at anything that contradicts your beliefs.

LOL.. Yes I did visit both sites and Yes I did knotice that originally they were athiests too.. I got bored and left without reading in its entirety. Yes and St.Bloody Paul was a Roman tax collector too.. its the same old story. EVERYBODY is an athiest until the horror of personal responsibility hits and either parents or culture induces the pathetic to looking to supernatural reasons to events out of their control... yawn. I'm not impressed with yankee university credentials quite frankly. I also am quite familiar with Rene Descartes philosophies on the proof of the god thingy, which everyone thinks is by far the greatest proof ever, and he was a certifiable genius. I did read him cover to cover. I'm a classical book nerd. Modern Existential philosophy just blows him away like talking snakes and holy popes and nobody argues cartesian proofs anymore. Went out with the musket and powder horn.

Now YOU go re-read the very fist message in this thread and don't go speaking in tongues and looking for the loophole in the facts. By all means pipe in, but stick to the question. Dale was asking us weirdos for some input.. Are you one of us? I think not. You're one of them imaginary friend people. I wouldn't worry about it, there's more of you lot than of us. ..against my beliefs.. really Lee (or not Lee, antiLee.. auntieLee funny) I am a faithless man. Pity me all you want. But you really don't know me well enough to rant. ..another christian maneuver since you can do anything you want and you are forgiven.. yawn.

Arguing...aka discussing... ( a very old saying politics and religion, is a serious waste of everyone's time, really. Nobody is going to change the other's mind.

Carry on Ladies and Gentlemen.

Ah, and this is an excellent point Dale. They are the ONLY things worth talking about. I avoid people who make movie or celebrity references. Can't stand yankee sports. If we discuss the weather it would be boring. We sure can go on about eSnips.. but that's a different Forum and you know I'm a stickler. LOL

I do not evangelize and I never recruit. You can read all my biting and spite laced rants on judeo-christian-islamic bulldada, but I NEVER ask anyone to change their mind. I in fact go off and tell people I disagree with to keep being the way they are and never change their stupid ideas. I never wish that they would attend a fuction with me so that they would see the light and be fixed. My enemy is easy to spot and anticipate. They are predictable and the only source of social stability. My friends/lovers... way out there. Totally unpredictable.

But I know zealots killed more people for their beliefs then those who were without faith. Perhaps there are no athiests in foxholes, because all the athiests are burning flags and spitting on soldiers and calling them baby killers.. to this very day... still. All of them, all sides. Heros and cowards, schlager scarred Field Marshalls and pimple faced recruits.
Happy Memorial Daze Yanks.

I came upon this topic while browsing esnips, while I am removing my folders to put onto another site.

I find this interesting.

First, let me explain where I am coming from. I am 24. I am involved in Christian youth ministry. I am also the Church Administrator for an American church and I am in the process of studying for my Bachelor of Theology.

Having said that, let me bring to your attention a few of the events taking place in the world, as we speak.

July 2009, a girl namely Rifqa Bary ran away to Christians in Florida from her devout muslim parents in Ohio after they had discovered she had converted to Christianity, four years earlier. Her father threatened to kill her. Her mother hinted at the possibility of her being sent back to Sri Lanka to be punished there. Punishment would be certain death after being entered into an asylum for people who revert from the muslim religion. This is according to Sharia law. I know Rifqa personally and have spoken to her many times since all of this took place. She is now back in Ohio and has been placed under Sharia law IN the court juvenile system. Her internet, phone, tv, email, AND friends have been DENIED even though she has requested pastoral counsel. Check www.rifqabary.com; www.atlasshrugs.com for more.

Texas - a muslim father killed both of his daughters after they became 'too westernized.'

There are hundreds of documented cases about this.

We hear so many Islamic fundamentalists saying "Islam is a peaceful religion." What drivel.

If Islam is a peaceful religion, then please explain to me why the Quran states that any person who forsakes Islam and becomes an apostate must be killed?

Vicar - your very name is fact that you mock Jesus. I have read a few of your other posts and even looked up Matthew 19:12 where you mention God and sex. You have taken that verse COMPLETELY out of context.

Dale - 100% for you, brother.

Tiger - I have no words.

Make no mistake - Christianity is not a religion. Religion is MAN MADE. Christianity is a relationship with Jesus - not living in man made religion with rules and regulations and humanistic and legalistic trash, but living freely.

Vicar, I'm not judging you, at all. But if you want to follow Islam, do it. Just leave us Christians out of it. We have no need for your babble on why Christianity is supposedly stupid. We accept and believe in the message of Jesus Christ and live it accordingly.

My account on here will be deleted soon so if you would like to email me, my email is saved_lives at yahoo dot com

I accept your capitulation.

Make no mistake, its a common practice for baptists to redefine the English language to suit their argument.. like "islamofacists" ..rediculous. Muslims can never be facists (corporate state) and even the ones that were in the SS at the end of WW2 were not Facists, but merely fighting on the facist side to expel the Brits. This redefinition of religion to suit his argument sounds like a sheeple bleating what it heard from its local pulpit. Baaa-aa-a-a ..sounds like puritan dogma.
