I don't know if you guys have received an email from esnips recently but I did and it contained links to the new esnips blog. In case you didn't get one, I am sorry to tell you that the chance of returning to the clear and popular way of displaying "search" results is almost zero because esnips is actually proud of the new way and see it as an improvement.

This subject has been covered in other areas of the forum and everyone is complaining about how confusing and useless it is but esnips see it as a triumph.

And lets face it it's their company not ours, so for the time being we just have to live without a usable search.

Well, I for a change, have no complaints about the new search 'LAYOUT'... but yes, there definitely is a big problem whenever I have to go the next page.... There just doesn't seem to be a way to go to the next page, although the page numbers have been clearly listed under each category...I have been able to go to the next page just once so far.... it would be really great if the page flipping problem could somehow be resolved.....

I agree that the new layout is very pretty ... but sadly I don't think it's very useful.

I am one of those old fashioned people that believe the purpose of a search ... is to find something.

Esnips are actually promoting the fact that now ALL catagories are sharing the same page.

To me that is NOT a plus point. I prefer a "dedicated search".

By that, I mean if I want to find an audio file of a particular song, I woulld like to see a list of audio files that are avaliable at esnips.

AND instead of a bunch of identical icons offering virtually no information I would like esnips to revert to the previous version, which clearly displayed important information that helped us decide whether a file was worth listening to or not.

At the moment you could waste hours listening to unsuitable files.

I don't bother searching anymore but hope to again one day IF we get a return to the system that worked [ it even allowed access to the pages beyond Page 1 ]

Every search I do, leaves me stuck on page 2! It's annoying as all heck. I can't figure out how they have the urls set up in order to manually change the url so it forces the page to advance, otherwise I would do it.

Anyway... According to the 2nd post here, this issue was forwarded to an admin back in March! We are now into June, and the problem still exists!

Is this problem still around because they can't figure out their own coding in order to fix it, or because they are trying to keep us from searching, and thus save on Bandwidth?

Just in case anyone asks... Yes, I have cleared my cache, and checked all firewall (and browser) settings. There's nothing going on there. I use Mozilla for my browser; Version 3.0.10.

esnips are aware of the problem and were fixing it unfortunatlly the recent onslaught of spamming has made them reprioritize there workload

Thank you kindly for replying and explaining things. It is very much appreciated.

I have a feeling that it we may start seeing the Captcha System come into play on eSnips. Though it can be a pain, it does work to keep spamming down.

we are still seeing the issue. the pagination stuck on the 2 nd page and does not move forward. Is anybody fixing the issue?

Time to bump this one again .

It is due its new upgrade in early August along with captcha to stop the spamming
