To me, I think there is no need to make a file downloadable or non-downloadable. If U dont want ur file be download, just put it in ur private folder. It's easy! I think it must be a really tough work to make some files downloadable or not. And control the speed of download and upload with so many kinds of files is difficuld too. So many Script will make the page very slow.
And by the way, If there is no " download " buttom, we can still download it in some way. So I think if u dont want to share with others, just put the stuff into ur private folders, or just do not upload. haha...

But it is still a good suggest.

as for the thread about silent bob your talking about i really have no idea not sure i even saw the thread.

As for an official response what did you want me to reply?...i said thankyou for your input ..i really was not asking questions just expressing an opinion, i might be one of the new moderators around here but i do not have the say on what happens with the download situation.

nice move for esnips.. it depends to the users if they're going to edit the download button settings and it can lead to piracy..

like in my folders i don't even tried edit the check box for downloading, some of them asked me how can they download my kiroro collection (キロロのいちばんイイ歌あつめました), i just answer them "just listen to their songs.."

maybe chiharu and ayano will kill me if i edited my download setting
