A little "Grey - Bellied Turdus" dropped in today to the surprise and excitement of Israeli birdwatchers.
The bird usually has a route of Siberia -India, and the last time one of its kind showed up here, it was 1996. And it showed up in Eilat, way down south.

After letting itself be photographed like the visiting celebrity it is, it flew off on its route for winter....

Hi Ian !

No - Im afraid i wasnt one of the ones who could get in their cars and dash over... i was told about the whole thing, looked it up on the net, and found a picture of the wee cute bird...i couldnt resist showing it to you guys!

We are on the flight oath of many many birds going "south for the winter" and i hope i will have the chance to get photos of my own to show.

I've got bunches of bird pics, from my yard and across the street. If I posted all my pictures, I'd have to open three accounts.
