I know who the mods are but I am not blaming them. Apart from recommending who gets favored I don't think they have many real powers at all.

I am waiting for someone from esnips to answer our questions.

The mods just offer to pass on our concerns then report back that "esnips are looking into it " but there is nothing to stop esnips themselves glancing at the pages of the forum occasionally.

I just don't believe that esnips are totally unaware of what is going on in their own computers.

I am not blaming Mods Roy, I was curious to know who they are, as I dont know what to do or who we could contact about this problem.

I am sorry if I worded that badly. I didn't mean to imply that you were blaming the mods.

You know Ruben and Dale very well and they are both mods but I can't see how asking them to tell esnips about these problems will help, to be honest.

The mods already know about it and may well have already tried to get esnips to actually do something about it.

They probably get as frustrated as we do.

I had one of my files vanish and it is odd. It was my Hindi video. Weird stuff.

All of us are wondering what's up. Karen and I have posted into the mods forum, enlightening staff of what's up here in the forum and all over esnips.

On the photography pages, most of the pages are empty. Nothing is showing up for new photos and other sections.

I think you should read what eSnippers are saying and their concerns.
Files are mysteriously disappearing from people's folders and not just in the music communities either.
Lots of members are having trouble even uploading their files to folders.

I just recieved a comment in my profile from a member who is concerned about the disappearance of his files. I've left a message asking him not to panic and that Admin are aware and are looking into it.
I think it should be a matter of urgency that the tech guys get this sorted. It's very disheartening fro people to put a lot of hard work into their creations and find them disappear like this..The members are getting very restless now.

Esnips needs to respond in the forum as to what's being done to follow up on this. Either Liat or Tomer.

The age old thing of us mods being a go-between, isn't working very well and some of us are tending to feel kind of helpless when responding to complaints of "glitches".

No offense intended to anyone at esnips, but man... you guys gotta get this situation stabilized and try to keep it that way.

Ya ever think of getting rid of Audible Magic??? It's caused one glitch after another and is making esnips look like they don't give a damn.

All I can honestly say is that nobody at esnips, mods or staff, is "picking on" anyone. We don't do that. We are people who post our stuff too and are having similar issues. We are still awaiting some kind of answer. We named the thread.. Liat, For Your URGENT attention.

Hang in folks. That's all I can offer at this time. AND normally, I would not post what I did above. But, I wanted to assure you that we are as concerned as everyone is.

I realised that it wasn't a case of anyone in particular being picked on when Dizzy started having troubles, because he is the person least likely to get picked on by the mods..

ME I can understand.

In the past when Audible Magic has struck you got the "This file is not avaliable any more" message . That is something I saw only this morning but this worrying new development of all traces of the file being removed can only be replicated by us by deleting a file and I am convinced that is what is happening.

I am used to having files disabled [ so that they will never play again ] but who on Earth has access to our folders apart from ourselves and the esnips staff ? In other words WHO OR WHAT IS DELETING OUR FILES ?

Can you ask esnips this for me please [ below ] ?

IS AUDIBLE MAGIC ABLE TO COMPLETELY DELETE FILES NOW ... AND ... IF SO, WHY DOES IT DELETE SOME COMPLETELY [ REMOVING ALL TRACES OF THE FILE'S EXISTENCE ] YET ON OTHER FILES JUST LEAVE A MESSAGE SAYING THAT THE FILE IS NO LONGER AVALIABLE ? [ WHICH WE KNOW IS NONSENSE BECAUSE WE CAN MOVE THE "NON EXISTENT" FILE TO ANOTHER FOLDER WHERE IT PLAYS PERFECTLY"

Roy... I copied and pasted your message to Tomer, in the mods forum. I also left another link and page number, for him to come respond. I explained the situation and asked him to come and personally answer, if he'd be so kind.

Roy... as for you being picked on.. let me say this. I know that you and others don't care much for me, because of my rocky start here. But let me tell you something. Whether I like someone or not, I WILL NOT go out of my way to pick on you or anyone else. I'm not really an evil person and I think that deep down you really know that. I do understand yours and everyone elses frustrations with esnips. Just because we are moderators, doesn't make us immune from the danged machine!

It would behoove all of us to forget the past and get on with our lives. I see no future in arguing or fighting with anyone. I've learned a hard lesson from my beginning days of moderating here.

Jamlover has been offline for a while now and comes in on occasion. I seriously doubt that he would go around picking on anyone, etc, either.

Oh... Tomer did respond to the mods today and asked some questions. But with a day gap between him and I working, it takes a day to get a reply. To the best of my knowlege, staff has been very busy. Doing what, I didn't ask. One day at a time. We'll get it all figured out....if it hasn't been done already. He may have passed our message on to the programmers.

Egad, but I hate glitches. And double egad, but I hate continuous glitches... as much as anyone.

As I said Dale, I never suspected you of being involved in this. I was just explaining why I knew that the current problems had nothing to do with favoritism or the reverse.

I am like you I do not want to pursue our differences. It would be counter productive to me anyway because I have no power at esnips ... only the power of free speech when unfortunate accidents happen to my songs.

That sort of thing has been part of my experience since I started taking an active interest in the karaoke section of esnips, as against just using it as a very generous and handy storage facility which I did previously.

It's a shame because this place has so much potential and the goodwill from it's members would be boundless if only esnips communicated with it's clients. I won't say customers because we don't pay .

You and I have totally opposite ways of seeing the world and moderating but that does not mean we have to clash.

I don't actually want too much more from esnips than they are already giving me and the suggestions I make [ to no avail ] are

1: That our files are kept safe and undamaged and

2: That all elements of favoriting are removed [ like other less generous websites where everyone is treated equally ].

I will always defend myself when my files are attacked and I will defend my friends when they are abused.

BUT [ although this may seem unlikely ] given a choice, I would like to just sing my songs and send them in the hope that people enjoy them and fly under the radar, never appearing in the forum .. except to have some fun.
