Hello Animators
Some of you may already know me or have probably seen me around eSnips.
I have taken on the role of Moderator for the Animation Community.

My name is Karen and I have a personal interest in Animation and Graphic Design (I’ve taken on the role as Moderator for that Community also)
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank eSnips and other Moderators for giving me this opportunity and for their kindness and support. Also Special friends who have been so encouraging and supportive to me over the past year. Thanks.

I’m just an ordinary member of esnips like the rest of you.(work 12 hours and then spend a few hours on snips whenever I can..every day, all day if I can.lol) I’ll just be a live presence in the Community. Someone who keeps an eye on the content being uploaded and ensure that files are inline with community spirit and topically relevant. I’ll be responsible for featuring, as I see fit and worthy, uploaded Animations and will try to be fair in my choice.

A little about me

I began creating Special Effects Images early last year and developed a real passion for creating graphic art.
I continued throughout the year to develop my skills by using various software to achieve different effects.
In January this year I opened my Wallpaper Folder and began experimenting with different photo editors and Graphic Design software.
I downloaded a freeware version of Fractal Art Software the other week and had a little play with it. I was quite impressed with the results.
I’m hoping to continue trying different software creating different animation effects. So any advice would be much appreciated.

So you can see I’m as keen as the rest of you in creating animation and graphic art etc...
I’m hoping that, together, we can create a friendly community of like minded people. Some where that we can all come and meet, sharing skills and ideas.
I thought maybe we could help each other to understand the different software’s that we all use by asking for help and giving advice etc...
Also I thought we could create a catalogue of different websites which could include online image editors, tutorials, and links to software download sites etc... There must be many more ideas so I hope you’ll all feel free to post them.

I look forward to meeting all members and hope that we can encourage more people to join us in our own little community.

Best wishes and good luck here and over in Graphic Design too. Your animations are sure to get a lot of compliments... Apparently, some of them have two signatures. Have you sent your animation samples back to the original artists for their critique? I'd be very interested in their comments.

If you have any ideas, advice etc.. on how we can conduct and improve our community please let them be known. I'd like us all, as a community, to create a real feeling of belonging here. Animation is very popular on esnips and all over the www. Hopefully we can all help each other in many ways to improve our knowledge and skills and promote what we do.

No.. to be honest I hadn't thought of approaching the original artists.
Maybe if I can track some down I should. It is amazing what you can do to bring a picture to life. Thanks. I'll consider it.
