I can't fathom out why .... Is it because my recording just pipped 8mb?

Just happened to me too Mal. Mine was only 5 mb and it was a Michael W. Smith cover called Above All. Uh, did I mention the word COVER?

I uploaded to a private folder (that's been working) and then moved it to public. When I tried to access it - said file is no longer available on eSnips.

Looks like AudibleMagic is back in action.

Any mods still hanging around want to tackle this one? Again!

i had the same problem last night and all my files are over 5mb cause they give us enough space here not to have to compress em to death and lose quality...but today so far they seem to be working ok....perhaps they were doing updates.

Where's ma bloody fluffies!

I hope it is just a glitch, or updating was in progress.

It seems some sites such as YouTube can put up some of the most alarming and offensive videos ever created and get away with it.

I just want to sing some cover songs. Sigh, looks like my bathroom going to get a lot more use.

I tried again this morning and the same thing happened. I also noticed some of my other covers - I REPEAT, COVERS, were de-activated also.

I just tried this and it worked. I don't know why. Hope we don't have to go through this with all the ones they de-activate - it's a big enough pain in the butt to find them.

I tried loading back to private folder but they won't play...seems all I've got are titles of the deleted songs.

Hi Guys,

It happened to me too this morning.

I took the advice offered here and transferred the "missing" file back to a "Private " folder and it played just fine.

HOW CAN I BE LISTENING TO A FILE THAT DOESN'T EXIST ?????? LOL

Cheers

Had same, did same, results same...OK, for now. WTF, though...Do I have to go thru ALL my files?? Maddening.

EDIT... even more ridiculous: an a capella duet I posted of a traditional folk song is also "no longer available". Seems even if it's just your voice singing ancient public domain stuff it still gets nailed.

What with the lack of site maintenance and constant glitches I guess it's time to call it a day.

I feel for the moderators that put so much hard work, time and effort in to this site.

There is better out on the WWW.

I have been looking at the other music communities and they dont seem to be as affected by copyright issues as the karaoke is. the vast majority of music collections in the rock community are just songs ripped from cds and uploaded. i thought this was the main focus of copyright problems but it seems not...check out this site one of the most popular... [/url]http://www.esnips.com/user/wellnoja.. there is no input from the user except uploading,,, i am confused, is it ok to rip a whole cd and share it with the world but not ok to sing one of the songs and let others hear it???? i dont want to upset any one but these guys are complaining about tracks they have uploaded after copying them off a copyrighted CD and letting everyone else download them free,??? there are very few actual performers on the other music communities, i really dont understand why the karaoke community is affected so much when there is ten times as much copyrighted material on all the other communities.....please shed more light on this if i am just not getting it???
