Are you sure you disagree only your post says otherwise
I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me send money.
The feedback on my post and the posts from everyone elses isn't very constructive - considering the amount of people that have responded!
Esnips (Lonnie), Perhaps we all missed something? What artiste ? What new tools?
Rejuvinating an old post from the past with a statement that is nothing but - "we are considering it?" and "we thought about it" is like a political statement? You've got a real comunity here? I bet you any money you want (and i will use a jewish backer) that if some rival website targeted your users - you would loose them?
How about this scenario, all the existing users that made the snips lets face it the music community decided/considered wether or not to revisit the site - never mind any more feedback. Because they all decided that it might be a bit to risky putting time and content here over rival websites?
Same scenario but vice versa?!? - risky buisness, this day and age of the net!
There are at least 3 or 4 big rising sites offering the same if not more without pre-conditions never mind instantaneous ones without any pre-warning?
Sell that as a U.S.P to the artiste? sure they will still wanna be part of it?
It seems now that a few people have spoken by way of feedback that there is some consideration, because "a few artiste have signed up"????
Define Artiste?
Is that ;
A) someone who makes music?
b) someone who remixes music?
c) someone who is gonna be an artiste?
d) someone established?
e) someone who is established and recognises that esnips has an audience?
f) someone is is a wanna-be big time and culled some pro dl scenario?
Artiste don't dictate.. exposure and promotion get them where they are. Record companies and promotional people do this work - and last on the list but most importantley is the CONSUMER - THATS US!
People wonder why the record industry is so fked up - they never got with the internet, now they wanna drag the site backwards!
yea - sure!
Esnips needs to remain focused on the users and work with them - that's priority!
Maybe my post comes accross as aggressive or maybe not as politicaly correct as it should, but i'm pretty hacked off at all this!
I decided against using other sites. I hated the formats and the way other sites promoted!
Esnips is really the buisness and I can only speak from my experience but I have met some of the nicest and most genuine people you could ever wish to meet here.
Do you really know how cool it is to have some guy half way around the world download your remix of a track and play it out loud to an audience?
The same goes both ways?
having people listen to ur mixes and remixes and play them out loud to friends and leave you feedback?
The thing is with esnips is that it's there as a choice for people. they decide
