Hi I am Artnews an art critic. Have you wondered why some artists are promoted by museums, critics, and galleries while other good artists are not? Comments!

I am so glad you posed this question? YES I have wondered that! I post my work online and have others that I know personally that I trust to give good quality and honest feedback and people always tell me "oh your work should go in a gallery" or "man you should make a living as an artist" and I carefully study the trends at local galleries and so on and so forth and I still am left wondering, when will I get my shot? Please tell me you have an explanation that won't leave me feeling dejected.

Thank you Best for your query as an Art Critic. I am shocked at the gap between artist and the secondary professionals. I have good news and bads news. Read the article on my business files ,with the same title, in which art professor Lane Relyea onlines the rules of the Museum world. However, there are four art worlds and an artist can make a good living If she/he knows how to play. Dick Harrison audioblog is a good start for those artist not trying to get their work into Moma. You can hear Harrison at:

Between Lane and Dick I think you will fine your path.
