Meditation is often confused with Concentration or contemplation.
Meditation is not narrowing of mind or concentrating on one point, mantra or deiti image.
concentration only makes the Mind Powerful.
RIGHT meditation is going beyond the Mind. Going beyond the mind which is always chattering, always thinking, always seeking some thing new.

meditation means we are living life as it comes, we are either aware of our actions or we are total in our actions..
many times we are in meditative state but we dont know it.
e.g we are seeing a Sunset and we lost all our tensions, seeking in that moment and are totally watching that sunset.
we feel relaxed, silent, blissful...
and this relaxation, silence and bliss is not because of sunset its because we were meditative while watching sunset.
accidentally our MIND has stopped and we were out Mind control.
just imagine 24 hrs we keep on thinking and thinking.
is there any moment when we dont think.
our mind keeps us busy all the mind.
moments when we are silent, we are not thinking are the moments of Meditation.
so any thing can become a meditation.
any thing which makes u silent, free from thoughts can kick start your meditation.
it could be painting, gardening, playing with children.
meditation is a knack of being in the moment. living moment to moment
with out drifting into past and future.
we need mind to make money in this world, then we can think, plan , analyze or in short use Mind.
but once our office work is done we can be meditative

"For the Grace of God that bringeth salvationhath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."
