Esnips should stop adding comments for a while.

As Ian has mentioned, Esnips is working at getting a program added, that will make spam bots nearly impossible to add spam to anyone's folders. It is a highly recommended program that is in use by numerous other sites.

As with any "good" program's addition, there may be a "hoop" our users have to contend with, to post comments on files or in folders. This hoop is necessary, to keep automated spammers out and the good folks... our users... in!

In the mean time, we will all have to tediously remove the spam posted, so that we can respond to anyone who leaves an actual, real and wanted post, on a file or folder.

I know it's useless to report, but still to fulfill my duty, here are 3 more :

They are worse than the H1N1 flu thing...keep on increasing by each passing day.

They are even devising new methods. Now some spam cannot be deleted because there is no delete option, instead there is a blank square. On clicking it, for a while it seems that the spam is being deleted but finally I get this message :

DocumentComment DocumentComment.obj_does_not_exists

and the spam remains where it is.

I just disabled him. This list should be up-to-date.

Automated Spam-Bots are removed by (slightly) renaming the folder the spam was sent to. Ofcourse the renamed folder will not have the old (folder visit total) but everything else will still be okay. You could take a screenshot of your folder visit total before you rename the folder. Hey, it's a little price to pay for getting your life and good will back. In future spammers will have to log in to leave a comment, and esnips are installing a super spam-bot terminator, soon.
