I have deleted all posts in this thread not related to welcoming our new Dj.
If those who posted want to create a new thread with the comments they provided with in this thread they are more than welcome. I did not find it
appropiate for this thread to be hijacked in the manner that it was.

yes welcome to esnips, however it will be hard work trying to establish yourself here because of the esnips concept and the unfortunate mods that run the 'so called' forum.... On more than several occasions 'Mike Suede. has manufactured, deleted, and replaced posts that he has personally considered to be offensive or irrelevant.
At one stage one of the biggest threads on esnips concerning changes to the way Esnips operated was removed by these admins and anyone that further posted was refrained from further posting.
Since then, many dissapointed members have left. Recentley some have revisited in hope of bringing back the good old times, however, they have all noticed that the site has not at all developed and further more, freedom of speech is restricted in an almost like website Holocaust towards western people, apparent by the supression demonstrated by the admins.
I have provided by email to esnips detailed links and questions about the abuse by the admins and raised questions about the conduct they have operated towards threads and the content... I have never recieved a reply!
I have asked both moderators, how they were appointed. I have also asked what experience they have had in regulating a forum and if they are aware that under certain legal directives they do not have a right to remove peoples/members freedom of speech/opinions, just because they operate a forum that is in fact not directley connected with the esnips concept.
Mike Suede has now elected to prescribe a thread with my name as subject heading. Perhaps he could just of easlily re-added my original post that had all the esnips complaints on?
I can only assue that he wants control over what he percieves as a threat or some type of outspoken conduct?
I note he percieves peoples complaints as an element of some type of self publicity.. hmm.. that would make sense if I had in fact up-loaded music recentley...or if I had added or updated my account.. or that I came on to esnips every week... Hmm the anser to all of them is No..
I think that you will also see from my profile.. that i dont even display my website or email and have not done for over a year, since esnips changed and you plonkers became our community representatives!
Suede also deleted questions raised about why the esnips ignored money making concepts in relations to branding the Esnips tag team concept and questions about the esnips radio concept, (that I believe you friend Steve was actually involved with Tony)!
He decided to ignore my questions about his religion and the fact that he appears to be homo-phobic towards "White People" as he practices a religion that I understand promotes superior "Black Power" against "Western Communities".
My original post raised the fact that a track that I had worked on remixing back in July 2008, wasn't accepted as original and I needed to upload to a pivate folder and then make it public. This is because the esnips vetting tool for files is :
A- out of date
B- not correctley configured
D- not updated considerng the amount of sites, i.e komp3, imeem, bee3, fileshare etc.. that offer downloads
When I provided one example as below.. My post was deleted..
I said look here is a track example that esnips wouldn't let me upload..
(look at the date the track was uploaded)

I said, oh look at the track listing on radio 1, probably the biggest radio station in the UK, let alone Europe..
and look .. here is the track listing on radio one..
The Track Listing ^^
Friday 20th February 2009 Friday Floorfillers
Rudenko - Everybody
James Doman & Gooding - Runnin'
Taylor Swift - Love Story (Digital Dog Mix)
Lady Gaga & Colby O'Donis - Just Dance (Riff & Ray Mix)
Tinchy Stryder feat Taio Cruz - Take Me Back
September - Can't Get Over
Ladyhawke - Paris Is Burning (Simmons & Christopher Mix)
Steve Angello & Laidback Luke feat Robin S - Show Me Love
Wiley - Wearing My Rolex (Niteryders Mix)
Velvet - Chemistry
Ercola & Daniella - Every Word
Kylie Minogue - The One (Freemasons Mix)
Star Pilots - In The Heat Of The Night
Pitron & Sanna feat Therese - Bodyswerve
Kevin Rudolf - Let It Rock (Cahill Mix)
Lily Allen - The Fear (Stonebridge Mix)
Prodigy - Omen
Oh look it's that track...
Mike 'the idiot' suede decided to delete the posts! Not allowed to promote or make music here according to Mike suede...
Well supported.. sorry deleted Suede!
I also poised the question about where and how the esnips site is funded and where it is based. I asked who the admins were working/answerable to and why non of the feedback was ever relayed to the community.
I also notice that the art section of esnips seems to have little in way of moderation, especially when it comes down to pictures of western females that are portrayed and pictured as nude or in an erotic pose and spammed on peoples profiles from within..

Not only has suede deleted my posts but many others as well. He speaks about "constructive instead of destructive", I suggest that he goes and looks up the real meaning of them words... Here's a few examples of how much this part of esnips has deteriorated under suede and lover..
The front page of esnips is today 27th Feb 09 advertising the single by Kevin Rudolph - Let it rock. Here is the picture
http://www.esnips.com/doc/a0581f50-fc29-4cda-b4b2-8b8107a2c1cb/fpe01
The user has clearly uploaded the track and it is available for download.
Here is the picture
http://www.esnips.com/doc/86fb1ce4-ef39-4d7a-bcf1-cc4ea97624b0/fpe02
Now correct me if I am wrong, but the points made originally with regard to downloading were specifically related to copyright issues (according to the bullshit esnips admins) Quite an extraordinary claim, considering the admins were telling members and alike that the way around copyright is to upload to a private folder and then make it public!
Seems kinda screwy to me. In fact, the admins allowed numerous threads promoting various other ways of downloading material that users had not permitted to be available for download by the esnips default.
It appears quite evident that the real reason for stopping downloading or restricting it was because of bandwidth issues? Clearly some type of financial issue, but rather than come clean and respond to the community constructively and raise finance through some of the many ideas that were presented to Esnips - they were ignored and deleted.
Then mike the 'destructive' suede steps in even further and removes hundreds of posts..Example
http://www.esnips.com/doc/421a5b58-db29-484c-a54a-ca5795dbc30f/fpe05
The biggest threads with thousands of views and postings giving feedback, deleted... by suede. Do you wonder why some of the other most popular thread topics are "Delete my account"..really constructive history you have got going on nuttin but nuttin dude! Example
http://www.esnips.com/doc/417af677-0f3c-4a0a-951b-6956f95d82f5/fpe04
Quite funny how the default setting for images is auto-set to download..I mean, i cant imagine that pictures have any type of media copyright.. can you?
Suede, you have dissapointed many people by removing the threads regarding changes. At the last call I had over 1500 emails supporting the changes that you deleted, excluding the ones to me sent private and all the ones that were posted on the front pages of esnips..
Several hundred more later related to your constant deletion of peoples posts and threads. Start working for the community and pull your head out of your ass..

I will try and answer your question on the download button with regards to music files well over 18 months ago before the default was changed on the download button I will paste the artical which will save me retyping
a major business threat. Record label EMI may in fact have played a considerable role in the company’s demise.
While eSnips was taking measures to police content uploaded by users, certain copyrighted material ended up online. In mid-October 2007 EMI called the company on it. This could not have come as a real surprise because eSnips knew for well over a year that users were sharing a great amount of copyrighted music with each other through the service. It was right around this time that it began cracking down on the behavior by using Audible Magic’s music fingerprinting technology. As a consequence, doing so eventually had a negative impact on the site’s traffic. EMI though remained steadfast in vocalizing its discontent.
This is where things get a bit murky… I was unable to ascertain whether EMI actually sued or was just aggressively threatening the company. I was however able to learn that somewhere in the area of a quarter to a third of the final purchase price of the company was paid to EMI. This to me indicates that EMI’s role in eSnip’s implosion was not a minor one.
And if you are still not aware Esnips was sold to a company called the Logia Group
And the plans for Esnips
Itai Aaronsohn who will head the new eSnips about what Logia has in store for it. He communicated to me that eSnip’s basic functionality will not change. It will remain a free service with media sharing as its foundation, but will see new mobile and content layers added—both of which are Logia’s expertise.
In the short term users should expect an enrichment in the video and music departments, as well as the addition of casual games. Premium content and possibly original production will be added down the line. Users should also expect the addition of a mobile experience where access to personal media will be
So in short there will be no return of the default download button and all music files will be scanned for copyright material and for those that want to share will still be able to by enabling the download button and for all those that enjoy sharing here at esnips lets look to a brighter and better times and put the past behind us where it belongs

I appreciate that you were only provided with limited information and this forms the basis of your reply.
Successful businesses survive by reacting to the market place. This is quite a well-known concept and it would surprise me if anyone at esnips failed to hold that basic knowledge.
Whilst there are legal obligations in respect of media (particularly music) for this portion of the conversation, there are several other ways in which the matter could have been handled and developed to accommodate the end user and maintain a the balance of the alleged legal obligations.
First, according to your limited reply we do not know if there were any pending legal actions. Hypothetically if there were then implementing a ‘digital music mechanism’ is a completely separate issue to that of removing the 'download button as standard'.
Why would the two isues be related?
Allowing the ‘digital music mechanism’ device to scan music on folders that are certified as public and not on those set to private, which can then be set to public is another issue. I suspect that if there were any serious allegations of a prosecution, then a pending proviso would have been suggested. This would have been something along the lines ... that esnips implements this new mechanism imeadiatley... the legal team bringing the obligation would have had the private folder area covered as standard. It’s a bit like going to McDonalds, ordering a burger… you get the gurkin bit as standard!
So moving away from the hypothetical aspect, the action to remove ‘standard download’ as a default setting seems somewhat flawed.
There was/is always the option to place the onus on the end user that is downloading. Example, I upload a file and it is automatically available for download. If someone wants to download the file, they 'tick a box'. This certifies that they are aware that they maybe breeching copyright. If I am not mistaken it's almost the same agreement provision on the upload section. Legally that is surfice!
Legally both areas are covered.. nothing at all to do with the download button as standard.
There are bigger fish to fry for the copyright companies. The law in this area is still young and very much developing. Several companies have recentley relinquished secondary copyright rules as a matter of course. The decision to do this was because of the complexed understandings of copyright.
Esnips was presented with an array of creative ideas and concepts that would have developed the site, raised the profile even further and more so created financial gain. These were either ignored, disregarded but isuspect overlooked by those few that were placed in the capacity of management. In any event the fact a large section of the end users that used the site displayed a great deal of disappointment and esnips failed to respond to that is itself a failure..
Myself and several other members were desperately trying to encourage development and 'keep the dream alive' for better a phrase…
Insulting users with lies about the download button and appointing representatives into areas that had no knowledge was to say the least a very sad day
Placing forum admins in the position of controlling what users can and can not say was and continues to be one of the biggest mistake a company can make.

Has I was not privy to the full aspects of the EMI encounter I can only proffer my opinion on this aspect of the download button
I would imagine this was part of EMI deal to hold off any lawsuits to remove the download from default and install audible magic
with all this going on investors withdrew there financial support this resulting in the loss of jobs for most of the esnips staff resulting in many of the software glitches experienced over the last twelve months
But now there is a new regime and it experience lies in telecommunications they have installed an new manager of esnips who is doing all he can to bring the site back up to scratch and lets not forget the R&D guys who have worked there socks off to keep esnips up and running with only about a third of the staff they had they could do with a pat on the back
things are getting better all the time but it still needs time after all it has had to survive 12 month with out full financial support
