Honestly I think that the votes are not as honest as a jury would be, why? because i know some of my friends voted for me just because im their friend and they support me, I may probably have the experience for at least really competing in this contest well, but I recently heard a track on which it has many votes and honestly the dj set is not very professional in the other hand i see excellent djs like Craig B lots of others i forgot to mention with a few votes, honestly for me its unfair that really good talents are not receiving a fair competition oportunity among others that i know have a lot of friends or probably went to the nearest cybercoffeshop and rented all the computers just for voting or something like that,
at the end it doesnt even matter if u win or loose, because if u kick ass u will still kick ass and if u suck u will still suck, so i just wanted to speak out my mind a little and hopefully next contest will get better since u always learn from the first one at everyting, i know this comment will be positively taken for a way to upgrade this event, thank so much for your atention.
Respectfully REDTEN

I write my opinion here too:

One thing is sure:

This competition isn't about who is Dj or artist or who did some special.

It's about:
1. eSnips get more traffic
2. and to clear up who can MANAGE itself better!!!

Quality, creativity doesn't count too much

Simply:
The DJ with the biggest number of friends + Lot of Links = Winner !!!

Recommendation for the next Djs Spin-Off:

From the uploaded mixes an independent Dj jury select out the 20 (or 30) most worthwhile tracks, and then vote to them the folk.

Cheers!

Guys I agree with most of what you say except for the fact there is a lot of creativity, and artistry going on within the competition. As I said before in another thread everyone knows sugar from shit. These voting anomalies will get ironed out by the second spinoff. I mean I saw one with 47 votes and only 55 views I mean really how obvious can you be

Hi - ive been following this thread with interest.

In the begining of talks about having a competition, we thought about having a closed vote, but since the idea is for you all to be seen and heard by as many people as would come, it would have been counter-productive to set limitations!
we know from the past, when there is an open vote, so many more people turn up, like when there is a free concert-
sure some of them come out of curiosity or because they know someone, but they are still there, enjoying themselves - and listening.
so we had an open vote.
in every system there is a chance to manipulate the voting, but in this case someone would have to dedicate a huge amount of their time to do so.
and we dont see it happening....

plus, people have different taste, and might vote for something you dont think is so good, because they think it is!

Dont stop telling people about the voting, let them come and have fun and decide who they want to vote for!!

Manou Trance Way is obviously manipulating the vote, if you have that many votes and not one comment or to have been favorited by atleast 5 of your voters. I am the only one to leave a comment. HeyLonnie can I resign from the SpinOff and give my votes to Jamlover or Mighty Jah Freakshow to me they put out some great efforts oh and I forgot Craig B. RedTen I respect your honesty. Ok guys I am going to go have a laugh somewhere because the more I think about it the more annoyed I get. Some people will do anything to win.

DUUUHH Her in my opinion you are manipulating the vote through nationality. I bet 90% of the people that voted for you didn't even listen to the song. I bet
95% of them don't even belong to esnips. How obtuse can you be. They are voting for you because you are from the same country not because your mix is any good. It is your fault and it isn't your fault. To me this Spin Off was supposed to be about Creativity, artistry and musicianship . As usual when the
public gets involved it has become about popularity and cheating. It is starting to polarize the community sl lets just forget ab out it and future ones as for me I have freaking had it with all this bullshit. I thought as first it would be fun and great chance to hear my peers do some excellent work, which has happened to a certain degree. So this is my last post on the SPINOFF and this will be my last month at esnips not that it really matters to anyone.

Following up this logic..... I live in europe.... there are approximately 728 million people here.... I should at least gotten a few million votes don't you think?

If everything was as simple as my logic, we all would be swimming in chaos

Jam if you ran a similar campaign as Heru you would have had atleast 10,000
votes by now. No matter either way at least I have mixes by my favorite DJs
here on Esnips. I am glad I have made so many musical friends here at esnips whom I will cherish forever. Everyone have a wonderful musical time.
