no i wont post it for 2 reasons.....

firstly it may appear a bit diva like but i hadnt realised that ruben had put the backing in his challenge folder therefore perhaps the lassie wasnt aware of the posting in here or maybe she was whichever way shes done a good job on the song....

and out of respect that she has subbed the song for the karaoke beach party it seems a tad unfair to sub mine

I guess I don't understand, however, you shouldn't worry about competition. We are doing this for fun.

Besides it looks like I won't be singing much anyway as my sound card is doing some weird stuff at the moment. Skipping and making horrible static noises.

I haven't actually popped my head in here before tonight... I did mainly cause of the beach party thing. I dunno... my opinion about karaoke songs is because they don't belong to any of us, we can't properly 'own' them. However, if someone posts a challenge on a thread and someone else jumps up and grabs it first.. that is kinda rude. It's not that posting the song is wrong, just maybe shouldn't have been tagged for the beach party thing? Just a thought.

the thing was i had just mentioned i had finished the challenge here in the forum and the song was in a private folder waiting for ruben to listen to it first before i was going to sub it when all of a sudden the other one pop's up and tagged karaoke beach party which does seem kinda mean which ever way...

i agree whole heartedly in what you say lisa many of us get inspiration on songs to sing from others and your bang on correct no-one own's karaoke songs...i think the miff comes from the under handed nature of individuals....

you know the strangest thing....it was MY idea a party of some sorts esnips and lonnie bless their hearts just enhanced and brought the idea to life....

i guess i shall sit on the sidelines singing quietly to myself it's my party and i'll cry if i want to

and after that i shall just carry on doing my own thing and to hell with the silly competative streak or self promotion people so feel is necessary around these parts.

The Girl didn't know and still doesn't know that I posted that song up for Genise here in the forum... She was just browzin' thru looking for a song for the summer party and I stupidly left it in my Challenges folder instead of placing it in a private folder for only Genise.
Now Genise... I know you are gonna read this and let me just say to you... By no means did she try to undermind or be rude to you by taking the song meant for you... She has no clue this is even an issue right now, also by no means did I do that to you purposely to make you look foolish... I wouldn't do that to anyone, also I've heard your version and I think it's Awesome...

That is why I labelled it gender bender too. It was bent sounding!

I have been fighting with my computer in the last several days. I'd record a song and the system would crash. I start recording and the music would skip or not record. I may have figured out the problem. My vocal conundrums were because I was frustrated with not being able to physically record any songs. Was really depressing me.

So no holding of breath required, just too much vocal chord squeezing to make those sounds!
