Not to deny you your (or anyone's) own personal experience; you're right Dale, I do reduce it all to science.. and feelings/sensations are hormones washing through the meat puppets we are. That doesn't mean they do not exist, but just puts it into perspective.

I too have had a couple near death experiences, lights and bliss on the horizon.. no fear.. almost a beckoning. I can get a similar experience with recreational drugs. There is a theory that religion was started by an enthusiastic eloquent person who inadvertently ate a mushroom (muscara is stated as the culprit) or something and started telling everyone his trip "that was more real than this life", and was called a prophet or a kook. Each one of them as far as I can tell were high or tortured some way (Paul fell off his horse and became christian) that changed their point of view. The drug theory of religious origination seems the most plausable. Contemplation of Saint Sabastian is a good example. Being a tattooist, I have many aquaintences (way too many) who are into the piercing/pain Holy hole-y Fakir trip. They contend its like a LSD trip without the "poison".. shudder.. I don't doubt them, hanging from the ceiling by hooks, but they give me the creeps. I'll take the acid thanks.

LOL, I find it amusing when we here in the west cartoon the arab with a big scimitar chopping heads, but when it turns to photographs and video it somehow becomes too real and no longer fun-ny. Then there is that Vlad the Impailer thing I was born into, and I love the French (!) too much to sign off on the whole process. Perhaps, its a symtom of the firearm. If we all used sabers as weapons, rolling heads would not seem as disturbing. It does not phase the japs one iota. There was a time when bullets were considered immoral since you may not see your victim face to face, unchivalrous! And then there is the MACHINE gun for mowing down men like wheat. Now, esp with TV, we all like clean kills where we don't get dirty or bloody.. that's Better!?!?! And american war coverage is soooo censored that its abstrat, almost noble, and makes ya wanna join the heroic military... not knowing what war really is. The reality hits when the suicide of vets become news, or when a returning vet beats his wife, or becomes a pissed off cop or security guard that we all must obey. I can see you as Indy Jones shooting that guy with a sword and saying, "don't bring a knife to a gun fight.".. like the injuns did and look what happened to them. We are much more civilized now.. LOL. I personally prefer either to nuke every single muslim population center all at once with no warning now; or conquor it, depopulate it and take it forever by whatever means. That would help the world economy for sure, and then we can get started on the next group, until we have One World.. muhuhahahaha!

I have too much self respect to use eSnips to promote my art. I've been a little POed ever since I posted stuff here and got spammed and virus alerts and crappy service. I stopped uploading new animations and art here as it causes problem with my homepage, not worth the hassle. There are much better place to compete and show you work than here. I won't ante up to this poker table. The winner gets what? more headaches?

The Vlad thing is a good point since it removes the present day context from vicar's rants. Like it or not, some cultures are based on hatred. I suggest you all visit Landover Baptist Church on-line, monthly, like I do. Its the same thing as here but much funnier and intelligent.

I cannot edit my eSnips site without it getting errors, if you look at it, it now has movie formatting errors even when I don't edit it! grrr I can't upload or download my original work, and yet there is tons of pirated stuff and such here. softporn and adware have been posted to my site.. the only thing that works is the forum LOL. And the Christianity Topic sticks out amongst all the other topics, especially when one has any historical knowlege of the movement and its hipocricy. Its hateful and needs to be removed. Notice there is no equal opportunity for the other "great" religions.. totally bogus, dude.

A word to the wise shipmate, never go to sea. Insults is a way of compliment there LOLOL, and the richer the more flagrant. I find Political Correctness and politeness shown to the undeserving a modern vice and do not share your ethics.

Are you on Youtube? I guess I'm spoiled cuz there isn't any of that over there. or on facebook.. They have their probs too, but not as flagrant as here, I actually stopped posting anything here because whenever I do my site gets corrupted and so I stopped up or down loading here.. just forum rants whiich work LOL all too well. I stopped back in just on the whim that I might be able to sign on becuase I was prevented several times and blew it off for a couple months.

Apparently you didn't even visit the links. Both of those articles are written by former atheists. The DoesGodExist.com one is a guy who only recently retired as a professor at the University of Indiana. He taught biology and he has a masters in chemistry and a few other things. He's a scientist and doesn't really mention the Bible much at all on his site. He simply demonstrates scientific, logical proof for the existence of a creator.

It's a pity your closed mind won't look at anything that contradicts your beliefs.

Yes and St.Bloody Paul was a Roman tax collector too.. its the same old story. I'm not impressed with yankee university credentials quite frankly. I also am quite familiar with Rene Descartes philosophies on the proof of the god thingy, which everyone thinks is by far the greatest proof ever, and he was a certifiable genius. I did read him cover to cover. I'm a classical book nerd. Modern Existential philosophy just blows him away like talking snakes and holy popes and nobody argues cartesian proofs anymore.
