I believe that if you leave your account inactive for three months, it will disappear. In the mean time, you can delete all folders, which will leave nothing behind except for your profile page... which will also vanish after a period of time. There's no way, I'm aware of, to just click a button and make it all go away.

There is no way you can delete your account. EVEN if you leave yuor account inactive for 3 moths it wont disappear. THe only way you can get rid of snips is by CHANGING your E-Mail address. go to your main page>Click Details> change your email address (make up one..i.e. urdeleted@bye.com) =]

Ian... we need a forum topic with no responces with "pending site improvements".. deleting accounts, uploading to private files, uploading music and images together... and on and on infinitum. Posting these things to be done may at least give esnippers a hint that its in the pipeline and on the to do list right at the top of this forum. Since there isn't a cure apart from YOU forwarding it to the powers that be, and we pions can't do squat except through you, it would LOOK like something being done.. and it DOES get done. All my complaints have been taken care of... like no more smut ads, so I'm happy :) so thank you!

Strange you should mention that they are talking about putting up something along those lines . I don't have a time line for it but I shall raise this subject again has it a better way of keeping members updated in the mean time I am happy to play the go between I sound like some thing out of a film

eSnips uses your email address as the unique identifier for your account. For that reason, and for your account's security, there is no option to change your email address in your account. However, there are no limits as to the number of accounts a user can open, so that you can open a new account with a different email address. In order to move all your files from your first account to the new one, you must share your folders between the two accounts. You can do this by sending an invitation from folders in the new account to email address of the first one. After the folders have been shared between both accounts, simply move the files from your first account to your new one. You can also download all the files from your first account and upload them to the new account.

That's a big thank you for you compliments . Esnips is slowly getting around to sorting out the various problems and so I am told have major new developments in mind so stick with it they say it going to take us to one of the top sites on the web

Sir, Is it possible to change my account name, why i need this, when i started my esnips two years back, i gave my email id as my user name ie philip707@bluebottle.com, but now the email service provider withdraw their service, now i am using new email id ie philip707@gmail.com. How ever i could not change my esnips account user name from philip707@bluebottle.com to philip707@gmail.com. If i could not change my account name is it possible to open a new account in the name of philip707@gmail and transfer all the files from philip707@bluebottle.com. I need something should be done, because few days back i could not log in to my esnips account philip707@bluebottle.com, saying worng email id. 3days i could not login to my account. But today i could able to access this account but i want to change my user name philip707@bluebottle.com since no email account in this name now HELP PLEASE with regards Philip Zachariah

I don't want this ID to come up in public searches either on the site or on the web due to a situation of domestic abuse where the abuser knows enough personal information to retrieve a password BECAUSE I CAN'T CHANGE MY EMAIL ADDRESS WITH eSNIPS. Bad enough that he took out a credit card in my name (applied online) and transferred $9900 of his debt onto it, then when I needed medical care for an internal injury that requires surgery, making me unable to work at my job, he left the house but harassed me until I no longer felt safe (cops can't stop a man from entering his own house, they told me to go to a domestic violence shelter, but I'd have to leave all my belongings in his house)... so before I could obtain adequate medical care I was forced to return to my family in a state that doesn't offer medical assistance to adults between 18-65 except in life-threatening situations. I'd promised him I would leave when I recovered from medical treatment, and informed him of my appt. dates, but the day before each appt. the abuser showed up at the home we shared for 3yrs (we'd lived together nearly 11yrs), or he called to leave messages about bringing his new woman into the house to see if she could live there. He knew if he forced me out it would make it more difficult for me to file a claim against him for the debt he dumped onto my credit card -- I have to return to that town to file suit, and since he emptied the bank account and left me with bills, and I can't work but can't obtain medical care, he's certain he's gotten off scot-free. And that's not even the worst of it -- he told me his new partner had cervical cancer as a result of a sexually transmitted HPV infection, which means I am at risk of developing the same disease. That's probably why he panicked when I told him I needed to see a gynecologist. He's a former lobbyist who now teaches medical ethics; she labels herself a "Patient Advocate" lobbying for access to experimental drugs for cancer patients. And to add to the torture, he told me the reason he wants to be with her is that she'll let him have sex with other women. He had previously told me (before he confessed his affair) that she had a boyfriend who let her see other men. So those stories about people freely passing along their deadly STDs are not simply urban myth. These are evil people, and I want this ID deleted because it is associated with that bastard.

Dear Management, I am requesting that my account be deleted IMMEDIATELY. I'm hoping that it can be done A.S.AP. In addition to this, a bit of advice, please inform individuals that are signing up to your website that in the future their accounts cannot be deleted. This will ensure that persons will make better informed decisions, as it was only recently, that i realized that my a/c can't be deleted, well at least not by me. Cuz i'm assuming that somebody would have authority to do so. I would like, whether it be Ian Paul or who ever to pass on this information so my account can be deleted. ALSO very important i don't want my I.D coming up in searches PLEASE...I type my old display name and it kept showing on GOOGLE EVENTHOUGH i changed it. I'm very concerned about this. I don't want it coming up. B/c my old I.D was the beginning of my e-mail address. So employers etc can pull this up. IT'S ONLY doing this for this web site. Can this problem be solved..... Thanking once again in advance. Also the "don't sign in" does NOT work. I've tried that b4....to no avail.

Why oh why does eS@#$% continue to lie to members that all you have to do to clear an account is just not sign in, when its obvious that that is not the case? WHY? Why do mods continue to be part of the ruse even after its obvious that they are being used as a mouthpiece for the lie? How do they live with themselves? I totally understand why some folks, esp the woman above who was abused and wants to clear her links to this site. And the suggestion that all the problems with this "service" are not laid out in the beginning.. joining is kinda like a trap. NO EXIT unless perhaps you blow off the lame instruction to "just don't sign on" and instead whine here. Why not just say, whine here and your account might be deleted.. be honest. I'm not asking to delete my account. I do wonder if it ever comes to that if I will be able to, and not get some mod trying to mollify me with the SOS (NOT save our ship) about not signing in. :roll: Its counter intuitive to do nothing to get something done... wait !!!! THAT'S IT That is the eS@#$% way of doing things!!!!! No Wonder!!!!!! ahhhhhh I get it....eSneaky

I'm sorry if there was any confusion on the issue, but there is no automatic deletion of accounts. Some times if accounts have been inactive for very long periods of time, we'll disable them to save bandwidth, but there's no guarantee that your account will be deleted unless you ask for it to be deleted.
