My name is Dustin (hence the 'D' in MELLOW 'D') I am a keyboardist and artist, age 33, I was born and raised in Fort Worth - Dallas "Metroplex" Texas, In my 20's I moved to Marco Island Florida to pursue my passion of scuba diving and the study of aquatic marine life, I since then moved back to Texas, I had a friend that i knew from Texas that was going to be moving to California so off we went, on the way spending time in the New Mexico UFO museum, grand canyon, and the mother of them all sin city Las Vegas I spent around 2 weeks in Vegas - just loving we had planned on settling in Santa Cruz from the start, I started out working on the municipal wharf I was in charge of designs for tourists T shirts (my woodies on my profile) and then ventured into some more design based programming on the ever so evolving computer explosion, and I recently went back to Texas to visit family and now I am back in Santa Cruz California, "starts with a "c" and in a "YA" "see ya in California, I love the carefree mellow lifestyle out here, it is a better place to pursue artistry, I love to play music (keyboard), and I love to draw/paint, all my creations comes from years of practice and genuine passion, I am easily inspired by anything in nature but most of all people inspire me, especially if they are being creative and passionate too. I enjoy humor, bright colors, surrealistic content, psychedelic sounds, and extreme melodies, my mediums include paints, clay, pencil sketches, piano, synths and so much more. I love to create, it is my sole passion in life. I currently am a web designer, I find it a good way to express myself artistically, and even musically. Check out MY songs they are instrumental keyboard and ambient recordings which are played and composed by MELLOW 'D' (a.k.a. ME) plus send me a friend request and click my pic gallery to view all artwork in full size, I have been evolved in art every since grade school, and I was honored enough to be a part of an "ART SELECT" class which included the top artists in our school district, sort of an Honors Art class - I entered many things in many art shows, and have won numerous ribbons, I studied all mediums, and all my experiences has formed me and my style into what it is today, vibrant - colorful - and a little surreal. |
